Product Details

This huge river landscape dates from the nineteenth-century and is by Tomás Sans Corbella (Barcelona, 1869 – 1911). The golden glow of the sunrise (or perhaps sunset) comes to life in Patricia and Walter's bedroom at Chanteduc when the Provencal sun pours in.

Thomas Sans Corbella (1869–1911) was a Spanish artist known for his landscapes and rural customs depictions. He studied at the Barcelona School of Fine Arts under the tutelage of José Armet Portanell. Sans Corbella gained recognition for his participation in the 1888 Universal Exposition in Barcelona, where he exhibited his works. He delved into rural customs through numerous pieces and was awarded a Silver Medal at the International Exhibition of Fine Arts in Barcelona. His style is characterized by conciseness, rich detail, and a vibrant, harmonious atmosphere. His artworks are housed in various private collections, including the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art.
